Swisscom Games summer 2013
What was initiated by the former CEO Jens Alder in 2005 started for the fifth time this year: the Swisscom Games. This year the games were held in two parts: the winter games in Davos in March and now the summer games in June in Centro Sportivo Tenero. 500 helpers (including Swisscom employees) ensured that 2,500 Swisscom employees were able to take part in more than 30 activities.
There was cycling, running, swimming, climbing, hiking, sailing, surfing and much more. In addition to the typical sporting activities, the participants were also able to engage in other areas such as archery, playing didgeridoo, cooking, slacklining, stand-up paddling, diving and dancing salsa; the list is not yet complete.
The musician's furious show concluded an intensive day for the helpers and a wonderful day for the participants.stress‚.
Carsten Schloter, the current head of Swisscom, described the Swisscom Games as a gesture by the management for the day-to-day work that the employees do for the company; something that can be appreciated in today's cost-oriented economy.
